It is with tremendous sadness we note that Syd died on April 9, 2006 from complications of leukemia.
Syd was an inspirational leader, facilitator, coach, educator and consultant and president of Sydspeaks, Inc. which was founded in 2002 to meet the needs of corporations, non-profits and school districts for quality education and training. He previously served as Assistant Principal and then Principal of Spring Valley High School from 1988 until his retirement in June of 2001. Prior to that he was an English teacher, counselor and coach in the New York City School System.
Mr. Farber held a degree in English from the City College of New York, Masters’ degree in School Counseling from Brooklyn College and a Masters’ degree in Administration and Supervision from Pace University.
He also served on the Board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Rockland County (BBSOFRC).
