SHARE orphan Chris Mireri receives 2006 Best Overall Performance in academic achievement; with guardian and social worker Cyprina.
SHARE sponsored orphans have recently won several academic achievement awards as
Best in District for school year 2006 in the Suba district (population about 155,000), Nyanza Province, Kenya.
The award ceremony was a part of Parents Education Day held at the end of the school year, in December 2006. During the ceremony, Mr. Oguma of the Education Office presented SHARE orphans and SHARE social worker with 9 awards for:
- Best Adademic Performance
- Leadership Responsibilities
- Co-cultural Activities
- Best Sponsorship and Guardianship
SHARE orphan Chrisphine Mireri (age 15) received Best Overall Performance in the district for academic achievement.
Orphans Viola and Wycliff, with social workers Cyprina and Lucy.
SHARE orphan Viola Adhiambo (age 12) was awarded Best in Academics and Most Disciplined pupil in school.
SHARE orphan Wycliff Olouch (age 17) was recognized for Best in Academics and Most Disciplined in his school as well as for being the Best Footballer.
SHARE Kenya’s Social Workers received special recognition for Best Sponsorship and Guardianship in the district.
In lieu of parents, SHARE’s orphans were represented by our social workers Cyprena and Lucy during this event.
