Organize A Fundraiser

Conduct a fundraising event in your school or at your work and donate the funds to SHARE.

Examples of fundraisers organized on behalf of SHARE:

Fundraiser Organized by a High School Student in 2004

James Winter, at the time a fourteen-year-old sophomore at Ridgefield High School in Connecticut, USA is a friend of SHARE. He has worked hard, along with his Interact colleagues, to raise money to buy goats for SHARE’s Kenyan children. In 2004, his effort involved his own family members: he and his sister Meredith decided to give a concert for SHARE.

James and Meredith enlisted the help of their mother Eva, their piano teacher, Kyong Hee Cho, and the pastor of the Memorial/Central Korean Church for this fundraising effort. The concert, with performances by James Winter, Meredith Winter, and Kyong Hee Cho, was held on August 27, 2004 at the church in White Plains, New York. The money raised and then donated to SHARE was intended to buy bulls for women’s groups in Kenya.

Fundraiser Organized by an Online Community

In January 2006, the Textpattern online community donated US $200 to SHARE’s Double Joy Farm project. The funds were raised through an online global fundraising initiative, and marked the first fundraiser in SHARE’s history to be organized and executed completely online.
